Hello! I'm Amber, a photographer, multi-ambassador, light chaser, educational speaker & hands-on teacher.

Helping my clients to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin, and create breathtaking images of them that generations beyond us will cherish is what I do.

I have been a photographer for 18 years, starting my career in a chain portrait studio until I needed to stretch my wings and find my own creativity. I still live in my hometown in Michigan, where I have the most gorgeous studio inside the State Street Bridal Suites. I'm a true blooded artist - drawing, painting, and writing since I was little. I have the desire to tell stories and have always been fascinated by people and the human experience.

My world revolves around my three boys, my husband Chuck, and our two puppers (our chihuahua Luna and my Silver Lab girl Juniper). Meeting Chuck brought his kids into our blended family, mainly his younger daughters Emma and Lilly. I had always wanted a daughter but was never blessed with my own..and now I have two!

Most days I will be working from my home office editing and answering clients so that I can stay a part of my boys' lives. Most evenings find me at the studio or on-location shoots. Weekends We Wedding! 

Although I worked really hard to overcome childhood poverty and financial struggles into my 20s, I still count myself extremely blessed to be able to do what I do and be so successful at it. Not a day goes by that I am not grateful for everything I have achieved and I'd say the biggest privilege I had in life was being a poor kid. It taught me the value of hard work and gratitude for everyday luxuries.

From my work you can probably tell that I love to create emotional and somewhat dramatic images, that have a hint of fashion and glamour. I am proficient in both natural light and strobe, so I am able to make any location at any time of day work to my advantage. I believe all body types and all walks of life should be photographed and captured in the most beautiful way, and one that tells the story of who they are.

My core belief is this - anyone has the ability inside of them to create the life they want. Anyone can change their stars.

Gabriel my oldest (the middle height child) I had very young and so in a way we grew up together. Diagnosed with Autism at the age of 4 it has been a world of growth and understanding. He graduated High School in 2020 and enjoys his hobbies of collecting Lego sets, Jurassic Park, Disney's "Cars", and anything Star Wars. Gabe is a lovey-type of boy and really adores being with his family and close friends. If you meet him you'll see what real genuine kindness is.

Zander, my middle boy who outgrew all of us about a year ago. He is my artist and the most like his Mama. He fills his spare time with drawing, writing stories, and has a passion for history. He became obsessed with Greek Mythology and culture a few years ago and now is pretty much an expert. He really enjoys fantasy creatures and sci-fi, and is also a Star Wars nerd.

Lennox, my baby. His personality is probably the biggest of the bunch and he wears his heart on his sleeve. He is obsessed with animals and would rather read national geographic over a fiction kids book. He excels at school but is completely mischievous. One of his favorite things to do is start a Nerf gun battle with our neighbors by sneaking into their yard (they get him right back) and play practical jokes on his older brothers. He is also my most affectionate kiddo and spends time with me each night cuddling and reading books together before bed.

I'm a professional speaker, teacher and mentor, and a featured photographer in many organizations as well as an international 1st place winner. But most importantly of all, I have created portraits for thousands of people that will continue to tell their story and live on long after we have passed.
